George 'Hori' Matthews, second from left, at Whenuapai in 1956. Do you recognise the men in this photo? Te Atatu Peninsula resident Haare Tukariri is look- ing for the men pictured with his late brother George Hori'' Matthews. The photo was taken in 1956 at the Whenuapai Compulsory Military Training base. Mr Tukariri says his family was very proud of his brother for getting into the air force. Mr Matthews died aged 22 in a motorcycle accident two years after the photo was taken. Mr Tukariri is now looking for the men in the photo so they can share the experiences they had with Mr Matthews.
