Thanks to Mike Carter from the Titirangi Pharmacy for donating the lollies. Youth focus in Lynfield Youth focus: Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre has a new Youth Fitt Membership offer on now. Calling all high school aged youth, you are invited to a Glowcity Dance Party at Lynfield Rec- reation and Youth Centre on Friday, November 26. The party will feature Babylon Riddim reggae group, BTUs and a live DJ. There will be spot prizes to be won and it goes from 7pm to 11pm with a $5 entry. Just in time for the school holidays, Lynfield Recreation and Youth Centre has introduced a new Youth Fitt membership, mak- ing youth fitness achievable with a casual $5 entry per visit. This gets you into the gym Monday to Friday from 3.30pm to 5pm when the playlist features tracks put together by youth for youth. So come in and work out with your friends in a very cool gym with all new equipment, a female only area and dedicated Youth Room where you can chill before or after your workout or have a game of table tennis. Alternatively you can take advantage of a new three month youth membership. Come in anytime for all adult and youth classes featuring kickboxing and Zumba on Wednesday evenings; HipHop dance workshops on Thursday afternoons with resi- dent dance group Xntrix; and Monday circuit classes from 6.30am plus Wednesday basket- ball classes before school. Full fitness memberships are from $10 per month. The indoor stadium has just had a massive makeover with a new wooden spring floor, thanks to the Auckland Council. Come in and check out the awe- some full size basketball court which doubles as an indoor soccer court, netball court, volleyball court or four badminton courts. In the New Year the centre will be starting up new indoor sports leagues -- soccer, netball and bas- ketball -- phone the number below for more details.
