Jada’s pretty smart My name is Jada and I am a female Labrador cross around six months old. All I need is for someone to give me a chance and I would be a perfect addition to your family. I am a very social young dog with some basic commands and being very smart, I have heaps of potential, given some training. I will cost $220 to adopt, which includes registration, microchipping, desexing, vet check, six weeks’ pet insurance and a Royal Canin adoption pack. You can come and meet me at Animal Manage- ment West, 48 The Con- course, Henderson. It’s open weekdays, 10.30am to 4.15pm and weekends 11am to 2pm, or you can call on 836-7777 . You will need to have a fully fenced section or a suitable con- tainment area in order to adopt a dog. Millions await claimants An updated list of people with unclaimed money is available on Inland Revenue’s website. More than $55 million is involved. Unclaimed money has nothing to do with tax refunds, IRD spokeswoman Heather Daly says. Institutions such as banks holding funds are responsible for making every effort to find the owner, but under the Unclaimed Monies Act 1971, funds left un- touched for more than six years are required to be paid to Inland Rev- enue. ‘‘People move around so much it can be hard to track them down, so ulti- mately the money is handed over to Inland Revenue,’’ she says. Go to www.ird.govt.nz/ unclaimed-money to take a look. Anyone who believes they may be entitled to unclaimed money, can email unclaimed.mon firstname.lastname@example.org or write to Unclaimed Monies In- land Revenue, PO Box 38222, Wellington Mail Centre 5045.
