Karen is a line dance instructor in west Auckland and James lectures in architectural technology at Unitec's Mt Albert campus. The pair live in Te Atatu Peninsula, in a home that has been in Karen's family for more than 40 years. Tech savvy: Children at Don Buck Kindergarten have been using Skype to take their learning to another level. They recently used the free internet-based video calling service to talk to Department of Conservation staff on Codfish Island, off Stewart Island's west coast. Children asked DOC staff about the kakapo. They had been learning about the bird at kindergarten.
